One Song - A Song For World Peace & Togetherness
This is a song I wrote to express my outlook on life as a human being on planet Earth! It is not me singing. The song was recorded by a demo company in Nashville, TN. This song has been sung by a variety of different choirs and other vocal groups around the world including grade school children to high school and college groups as well as adult groups. If anyone is interested in performing it, I have the sheet music and would be glad to share it with you. One Song Far across the ocean, From sea to shining sea. Different kinds of people, Sing a sweet harmony. Take a look around you, Think about what you see. We can live together, Side by side you and me. One song, That the whole world can sing. One voice, That together will bring. One hope, That above everything the whole world can sing one song. Everyone's a brother, Or a sister that you meet. We are all one family, Living on the same street. So let's sing together, A song with beautiful sound. All the music that we make, Will spread love all around. One song, That the whole world can sing. One voice, That together will bring. One hope, That above everything the whole world can sing one song. Shosholoza - Ladysmith Black Mambazo
The Zulu word Shosholoza means go forward or make way for the next man, and is also reminiscent of the sound made by the steam train (stimela) described in the song.

Lionel Richie was rightfully hesitant to rerecord "We Are the World," the 1985 global anthem he wrote alongside Michael Jackson to fight famine in Africa. More than 40 artists under the umbrella USA for Africa joined to record the tribute that raised more than $60 million. Richie felt the song was iconic and should not be revisited, but he changed his mind after the recent devastation in Haiti following the tragic 7.0 earthquake in January that left more than 100,000 people dead and millions displaced. The new version, "We Are the World - 25 for Haiti," and its video, which just premiered in advance of the broadcast of the Opening Ceremony for the Vancouver 2010 Olympics, successfully takes on a new meaning.

Smoke (You Have to Wonder Why)
A commentary on the beauty of this planet contrasted by the suffering of children worldwide as a result of or our propensity to commit acts of war on every scale, and tolerate poverty, when neither should exist. We have the means but do we have the collective conscience and will to do anything about it. The children continue to suffer and the cycle continues.
