Based on scored from an international panel of qualified judges, combined with audience voting results, winning entries will be tabulated and the results posted by May 30, 2016. The copyright for the song will remain with you, the creator, and you will retain all legal rights of ownership.
Cash prizes will be awarded at various levels based on scores from voters and judges?
There is no application fee to upload songs to compete for cash prizes. The application is simple: just follow the steps below!
First Place: $3,000
Second Place: $1,000
Honorable Mentions (2): $500 each
And, as the contest grows, so will the prizes!
Submit Your Song
Songs may be submitted from January 1, 2016 to April 1, 2016. Voting closes on April 15, 2016. Songs must be about peace and are subject to approval before being posted on the site for voting.
Both winners and non-winner from previous Songs for Peace Contests may submit NEW original works.
In submitting your song, you certify that it does not infringe on any copyrights. Should it come to our attention that it does, your content shall be removed immediately and you will be disqualified from the competition.
In submitting your song, you grant Songs for Peace permission to — should your song become part of the Final 20 — release it on a CD to help fundraise for the maintenance of the Songs for Peace Contest.
There is a limit of one submission per artist or group. The song writer is solely responsible for their song upload.
Should your lyrics be in a language other than English, or unclear, you MUST send lyrics in a document for judges to review should the song reach further stages of the contest.
